Orthodontic Treatments for Teens
The teenage years are when a majority of our patients receive braces. The adolescent years are highly developmental, and orthodontic care during this time varies depending on your stage of growth. Regardless of what stage of growth you are in, the goal remains the same: to manipulate the alignment of the teeth and jaws to create a prime environment for perfect dental health.
No More “Metal Mouth”
As your Castle Pines orthodontist, we know that there is a lot of pressure for teens to look good. The confidence that comes with a beautiful smile shouldn’t be masked during the corrective process, which is why we offer more than one type of corrective device:
- Metal Braces
- Ceramic Braces
- Invisible Aligners
These options work very similarly, but offer different aesthetics. Metal braces are the traditional style and are as small as possible. They can be stylized with colored bands to give your braces a more personalized feel. Ceramic braces are white or clear and are far less noticeable than metal braces. Both metal and ceramic braces perform the same function.
Invisible aligners are an option for minimal tooth movement. If you only need a small amount of orthodontic adjustment, these can do the job.
