Dr Dunbar: How I learned to stop worrying and love my braces.
I was told in my twenties that I may have some periodontal problems later on because of a few crooked teeth and my bite was never quite right, either. But nothing was "that bad", and I certainly didn't want to go thru braces unless absolutely necessary. Then, my seven year old daughter needed some relatively complicated orthodontic treatment. My wife did weeks of research and chose Castle Pines Orthodontics. The results of her treatment were great, and I knew it was time for me to stop debating and take the plunge.
Shortly after my 42nd birthday I started treatment, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and certainly my best financial investment, ever. It took 18 months, nothing was really inconvenient or painful, and the results were nothing short of amazing. It was SO worth doing, plus I met lots of nice people with braces and we had something to talk about. The staff at Castle Pines Orthodontics was so great; I actually looked forward to my appointments. Honestly, I am a very picky person, but they totally exceeded all of my expectations. I miss my visits there, but LOVE my new smile. If you are an adult considering braces, just do it, you'll be glad you did. Thank you so much.
